Elements of the essay.

 
Writing an essay incorporating the thesis statement and other elements. It is important to have a clear idea of what you are attempting to do in your essay. You should develop a thesis statement which will say what you want to accomplish in your essay. It is most important that everything you write in your essay support and relate to your thesis.

You can write your thesis on a separate piece of paper, but you should also include it in the introduction to your essay.

Create a title for your essay. Decide on something that will your audience interested in reading your essay. the reader interested in

Next, comes the introduction to your essay
ll.  Introduction (paragraph)
  • Introduces what your essay is about, but does not do it immediately. Introduction has three sections:
    • Topic sentence.
    • Use the first section of your introduction to hook your reader, saying something that will interest them and make them want to continue reading
    •  The last section of your introduction is where the thesis statement goes.
    • The thesis statement Includes your  three main points which you will use to support what you are trying to accomplish in your essay.: Point 1,
      Point 2, Point 3.
In the next section, the body, you will go into detail about each of the three main points you mentioned in your thesis statement. Have a separate paragraph for each point.
IIl. Body (paragraphs)

Transitional phase or paragraph hook to move from the introduction paragraph to body paragraph 1.

Body Paragraph 1 = Point 1

A Transitional phase or paragraph hook move from the body paragraph 1 to body paragraph 2.

Body Paragraph 2 = Point 2

Transitional phase or paragraph hook to move from the body paragraph 2 to body paragraph 3.

Body Paragraph 3 = Point 3
Last write a conclusion paragraph to your essay.

Transitional phase or paragraph hook move from body paragraph 3 to the conclusion paragraph.

IV. Conclusion (paragraph)

Summarize what you have said in your essay. Leave the reader with a feeling that you have said what you needed to and that you have successfully ended your essay.
