Do you use capital letters where necessary? For example, proper nouns like English are always capitalized.

Do you use the proper forms of related words? For example, success (n), successful (adj.), succeed (v), successfully (adv).

Proofreading tips - Read out loud

Have someone else proof read for you.

Cover the paper and read one line and one paragraph at a time.

Read backwards, starting with the last sentence and examining every sentence, one at time.

Study each word.
